Wow, what can i say other than wow? our very own future Olympian

Back when Swimkidz first started, one of the first pools we used was St Joesphs and there, we taught a couple of groups of children. in one of those groups was a little boy called Conor. Conor always loved the water, and this clearly shows because Conor was recently chosen to represent team GB in the Summer Youth Olympics!

We are not surprised, super proud and so excited to see what comes next for Conor. Many athletes who have competed for Team GB at a Summer Youth Olympics have gone on to compete at Olympic Games, including Rebecca Adlington, Dina Asher-Smith, Nile Wilson, Amy Tinkler, Tom Pidcock and more! we cannot wait to watch Conor at the Olympics one day and knowing that he started here with us, at Swimkidz is an unexplainable, proud feeling.

Conor came away with a 4th in the 200 back final, a bronze medal in the mixed medley relay and GOLD in the boy’s medley relay.

Conor and his family moved to Dorset in 2018. Conor went to Canford school with an academic and swimming scholarship. He also did his GCSEs a year early last year and scored all 9s! He is now at Millfield school after being awarded the headmasters scholarship award for his academics and swimming.

Conors mum says “He’s loving life and is really thriving with the swimming programme at Millfield. We just remember him being one of the first swimkidz swimmers. We’re still friends with another family, their daughter Charlotte swam in his lessons with you…. so, we also made friends for life via swimkidz!!”

We can’t wait to hear you’ve won gold at the Olympics one day, don’t forget the little people! your first swimming teachers, Trish & Charlotte.
